1. Engineering and Design Services

Cyient’s primary revenue drivers are its engineering and design services which contribute 70-80% to the total revenue. E&D services feature end-to-end engineering support, including product design, simulation, testing and validation. A Peek Into History

Cyient was founded in the year 1991 by B.V.R Mohan Reddy as Infotech Enterprises Private Limited in Hyderabad. It began operations by focusing on geospatial services. The company received ISO certification for conversion services in the year 1995. Cyient’s first major client for engineering services was Pratt & Whitney.

Infotech became a publicly-traded company in the year 1997 and opened its first overseas office in the United States in the year 1999. The company entered the European market by acquiring the British Company, Dataview Solutions, in the year 2000. Infotech opened a dedicated development centre for Pratt & Whitney in the year 2004.

Infotech entered the aerospace engineering sector by acquiring a US aerospace engineering company, Daxcon Engineering, in the year 2010. The company expanded to IT services and systems by acquiring an American IT company, Softential Inc., in the year 2012. Infotech rebranded to current Cyient Limited in the year 2014.
